Ways to create and establish your personal brand

When it comes to building your brand, it can be sooo easy to forget that personal branding is a huuuuuugeee part of your business and its overall success!

So, why is personal branding important?

Because … it represents YOU!!! What is exciting about owning your business is you get to connect with people, share your passion and build trust with your clients and audience that closely follow your business and its exciting growth.

There are soo many ways to build your personal brand and tell your story, so figuring out where to start can sometimes be overwhelming. To help you get started on building your personal brand, I wanted to share 3 easy things you can do now to develop trust with your audience and grow your business over time!

  1. Be Authentic!

It’s hard when imposter syndrome starts creeping in, or you feel the need to portray yourself in a specific way, but remember … people connect with authenticity and your individuality is what draws people into your business!! Let your personality shine through and don’t pretend to be someone you’re not. It’ll quickly become hard to keep up the persona you are portraying and as a business owner, struggling to keep that perfect image is not something you want to add to the to-do list (cause I know that list is loooong).

2. Tell Your Story Through Imagery

This is one thing I work hard to highlight when shooting my branding clients. Your business is unique, it’s exciting and it’s individual to your personal story. So, let’s share that story through imagery! Your photos should be consistent with your brand and take your audience through a journey of what you do, what you offer and how you can help them! Have fun with these!! Let your audience in on the fun behind your biz or what it’s like working with you. Brand photos are a great way to build connections and let people in on our world so they get to know you as a biz owner. Plus, you can use your brand photos anywhere and everywhere… the content possibilities are literally endless!

3. Use Different Marketing Channels

There are a ton of ways to connect with different audiences these days, especially because there are so many apps and platforms to take advantage of to market your business. Some people really love images, others like photos and some love a good blog! So, switch up your content and the format you share it in so you can reach different people in different ways to see what works best for you. Some of my fav formats and platforms include:

  • Social media posts
  • Pinterest
  • Freebies
  • Blog posts
  • Newsletters

Pick a few that feel good to you, and repurpose your existing content and continue growing your brand!!

Quick ways to utilize your brand elements to make it your own!

I hope you find one of these if not all three helpful when it comes to growing your personal brand. Let me know in the comments below which step you’re tackling first <3

Having a collection of “staple” images that al Having a collection of “staple” images that align with your brand is one of the most powerful tools you can have for your business. It’s a game-changer for your online presence and your peace of mind!

So, what exactly are staple images? Think of them as your visual toolkit—a versatile library of photos that consistently represent your brand’s voice and personality. These aren’t just for your website’s main page; they’re the images you can reach for on a busy day when you need to post to social media, update an email newsletter, or create a quick ad.

The Benefits of Your Visual Toolkit

Having this curated collection of images offers incredible advantages for your brand:

👉🏻Consistency and Professionalism: Staple images ensure your brand’s look and feel are always cohesive and polished. When a client sees the same high-quality visual style on your website, social media, and marketing, it builds trust and makes your brand instantly recognizable. This consistency shows you’re a serious, credible professional.

👉🏻Efficiency and Time-Saving: How many times have you struggled to find the right photo for a post? With a library of on-brand images, that problem disappears. You can quickly pull a photo that fits your message, saving you valuable time and the stress of a last-minute search. This allows you to focus on the content of your post, not the visuals.

👉🏻Brand Authority and Storytelling: These images help you tell your brand’s story without saying a word. A great staple image can convey the quality of your work, the energy of your business, and the unique personality behind it all. This helps you build authority and an emotional connection with your audience, making your brand more memorable.

Pro Tip

Your staple image library should include a mix of professional headshots, dynamic “in-action” shots of you working, and detail shots that highlight the tools of your trade or the vibe of your studio. The more variety you have, the more you can say with your images.

Are there any specific types of staple images you’re looking to create for your brand?
